Unlike the other airlines, LGBT passengers get discounts for literally being gay (and booking through their site, of course).

Southwest, United and American airlines all have a dedicated LGBT page to celebrate diversity, and some airlines have gone the extra mile (pun intended) to show proactive agendas (for instance, Delta recently made headlines by being the first major carrier to make same-sex domestic partners whole for additional income taxes owed for health care plans).Īlaska Airlines, who has proven a strong commitment to the LGBT community, recently launched a microsite where gay travelers can get discounts (between 7 to 10 percent) to popular gay events throughout the year. It’s not unusual for a major US-based airline to show its commitment to the LGBT community.
